Situational Awareness
Drawing on its partnerships with government and law enforcement agencies, NC4’s National Incident Monitoring Centers (NIMCs) improve Situational Awareness for its financial services customers by issuing real-time, global, 24x7 proactive incident information and alert notifications. NC4’s External Situational Awareness (ESA) offering alerts customers of events that may impact operations, by providing early, real-time alert notifications as well as ongoing updates to occurrences that could threaten continuity of operations.
ESA brings cost-effective results to help improve the operational risk mitigation to financial service firms. Operational risk is defined as the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems, or from external events. NC4’s External Situational Awareness solution improves financial institution’s awareness of events occurring ‘outside the fence’, helping them to achieve a higher level of preparedness and minimize operational risk.

NC4’s Extranet Secure Portals (ESP) solution provides a trusted secure information sharing environment which meets or exceeds federal requirements for information protection of Privacy Impact Information, Controlled Unclassified Information, Sensitive but Unclassified information and more. This secure web portal utilizes the accessibility of the Internet while maintaining the highest standards of security for transmitting sensitive data.
NC4’s US-CERT customer provides a venue for fostering public and private sector partnerships for the purpose of enhancing the prevention of and response to cyber threats and vulnerabilities. US-CERT uses the portal for collaboration with its partners and also utilizes custom applications that provide direct access to tools that report on Internet health.
